Absorption: adds yellow Absorption hearts to your health bar, if damage is taken the hearts cannot be replenished. At the end of the absorption effect, all the yellow hearts will disappear. Each level of absorption gives you +2 yellow hearts Blindness: Creates a thick black fog which makes it difficult to see, this also prevents you from running fast, when the blindness effect wears off, the player's vision will return back to normal. Fire Resistance: Gives you immunity to fire, lava, and direct hits from fireballs. Haste: Increases the speed for how fast you break blocks. This effect makes your arm swing faster which means that you not only mine and dig faster, but your attack speed is also increased. Health Boost: Adds additional red hearts to your base health. These hearts add extra health to your health bar and can be replenished with food. When the Health Boost effect ends, these additional hearts will disappear. Hunger: Depletes your food bar faster than normal, makes your hunger icons turn a greenish-rotten color. Instant Damage: Causes instant damage to a player or mob that is living. However, undead mobs (such as zombies, skeletons, wither skeletons, wither bosses, skeleton horses, and zombie horses) are healed by the Instant Damage effect. Instant Healing: The Instant Health effect is a status effect that gives instant health to a player or mob that is living. However, undead mobs (such as zombies, skeletons, wither skeletons, wither bosses, skeleton horses, and zombie horses) are damaged by the Instant Health effect. Invisibility: Makes you invisible to others. When you are invisible, others will be able to see the particle effects floating around you but they won't be able to see you. Jump Boost: Lets you jump higher than the normal 1.25 blocks. When given jump boost 0, it lowers your jump height down to 0 blocks. Mining Fatigue: Is the exact opposite of haste, it slows down how fast you break blocks, and it also slows down your attack speed. Nausea: It wobbles and moves what you see in the game. It gives you the feeling that the room is spinning and that you are about to be sick. Night Vision: It increases the brightness level to 15 so that you can see better in the dark. It also improves vision under water. Poison: Does damage to your health every 1.25 seconds and turns the hearts in your health bar to a yellowish-green. The Poison effect itself won't kill you because it will pause when your health is at 1 health point (or half heart). However, if you heal above 1 health point while you are poisoned, the damaging effect will continue. Regeneration: The opposite of poison, restores a half heart every 2.5 seconds to your health bar. Resistance: Reduces the amount of damage you will take in the game with the exception of damage from the Void and the /kill command, at resistance level 5 you are impossible to kill unless you use the two other methods. Saturation: Replenishes your food bar. Slowness: Decreases your speed causing you to move slower in the game, when given slowness 0 you cannot move unless you jump. Speed: Increases your speed causing you to move faster in the game. Strength: Increases the amount of damage you do to other players or mobs when attacking with a melee attack. Does not affect shooting with a bow or throwing snowballs/eggs. Water Breathing: Lets you breathe underwater without using up the oxygen bar. Weakness: Opposite of strength, decreases the amount of damage you do to other players or mobs with attacking with a melee attack. Does not affect bow damage, snowballs, or eggs. Wither: Does damage to your health every 2 seconds and turns the hearts in your health bar to black, unlike poison, wither can kill you if your health runs out before the effect runs out.
